NOW, ABOUT CHRISTMAS EVE EVE CANDLELIGHT COMMUNION …
It might be the most wonderful time of the year! But it’s, also, the most hectic! Halls to deck! Trees to trim! Stockings to hang! And that’s only part of it! Try figuring out how two congregations will worship … in the same building … on the same night … at the same time! Like I said, hectic!
So, this year, we’re trying something different! Rather than compete for parking spaces, we’re just going to move our worship – not to a different place, but to another night! From December 24th to the evening BEFORE! We’re hosting our – for the first-time ever … Christmas Eve Eve Candlelight Communion! It will be in the same place! Only the day before!
Not only will we have the parking lot to ourselves! But we’ll have the next night – Christmas Eve – all to ourselves, as well! To spend however we’d like! With family! Friends! Even, by ourselves! After weeks of getting ready, we’ll, finally, have time just to sit back, take a deep breath, and enjoy! As god’s Christmas washes over us! Turn down the lights. Turn up the music. As god gently places the child – god’s own – not into a manger, but into our arms! It doesn’t get much better than that! So, remember … it’s not the same old same old Christmas Eve service … It’s a Christmas Eve Eve one!
